Methodology
In order to assure the maximum homogeneity of groups in terms of cognitive capacity, maturity and use of the language, we group the students according to a double criterion that takes into account age as well as previous knowledge.
Approaching learning in a novel and innovative way, which is as alive and entertaining as it is planned and rigorous, the student focuses on communication, quickly learning and assimilating the structures of the language.
Students learn to understand and speak through games, tasks, activities, songs, films, theatre, computers, etc. Our pioneering system of rewarding success, with diplomas for effort and participation in class, is another key feature of our motivating and happy classes.
Our courses guarantee a complete development in the acquisition of language, encouraging expression and oral understanding, confidence in the use of the new language and a positive attitude towards its study.
Continuation
Throughout the year, there are several feedback sessions in which the student and/or the parents are invited to speak individually on the students progress.
In addition, the Senior Teacher, Director of Studies and the Director of the Department of Young learners are available to parents to take care of any questions that might arise concerning the studies of their child, including general advice on subjects of a cognitive or emotional nature about which they wish pedagogical aid or direction and advice on how to complement learning outside the classroom.
Examinations
We prepare young learners for the following official examinations of the University of Cambridge: Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET and First Certificate (June) and we will advise them on the appropriate moment to enter these exams to ensure the greatest possibility of success. For many students these examinations can be a great motivation and a strong incentive to learn more, as well as/a route to higher education.
Attendance
Throughout the course, young students should know they have a commitment to themselves and their colleagues to remain in class until the end of the established period and we shall communicate any lack of attendance directly by mobile phone to the parents on the second occurrence of non notified absence.
