CHOOSE FROM THE FOLLOWING: CELTA (duration: 4 weeks) The CELTA course provides speakers of English with initial training in teaching English as a foreign language, and leads to the internationally recognised qualification: the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). The course is also suited to those who are already in the profession, but who have no formal or practical teaching qualification. The courses are validated, and syllabus and assessment criteria are fixed by, the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). There is a huge demand worldwide of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers, and this course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to teach English from beginners to advanced students, children to adults. The ih Madrid CELTA course is a 4 week intensive with the award of the CELTA certificate on successful completion. PLUS Spanish (duration: from 2 weeks) Living in the Spain and taking an immersion course is the quickest possible way to bring your Spanish up to scratch. Teaching Young Learners course (duration: 2 weeks) The fastest growing market in the EFL sector. This is a 30 hour course taking you beyond CELTA which will prepare you for working with children - usually referred to as ‘Young Learners’ (YL). In practice, this means anyone who is school-age - from Kindergarten (4 years old) to college students (18 years old). OR PLUS Business English Course (duration: 2 weeks) Having the skills to teach business English opens a huge range of new opportunities all over the world. English is the language of business worldwide, and many professional people are eager to improve their business English. They need trainers with the skills to help them achieve this and, like most people in business, they are looking for results. This means that they expect their trainers to be fully qualified to teach business English. Note: Spanish and YL / Business courses can run over the same 2 weeks- Spanish in the mornings and YL/business in the afternoon alternatively a student can opt to take the Spanish course at a later time and or the YL course when it runs as an extensive.
