1 The wellbeing and safety of young people is paramount for IH Madrid.
2 We strive to make IH Madrid classes a welcoming and safe environment where all clients and employees feel happy, safe and secure at all times. We comply with local, Spanish and European law.
3 The safety and security of the building is important. We ensure that we have the right safety equipment, and emergency evacuation and first aid procedures in our centres and we do our upmost to ensure it is the case in our partner schools.
4 When we recruit new members of staff , we are careful that they have no prior history that would make them unsuitable to work with young people under the age of 18.
5 All members of staff at IH Madrid are trained to look after the wellbeing of young people.
6 It is totally unacceptable for any member of staff at IH Madrid Madrid to have any inappropriate relationships with any clients under the age of 18. This would result in termination of their contract.
7 The managers of IH Madrid are always available to speak to parents regarding any matters concerning their children. Contact the administration team ([email protected] for classes in IH centres or [email protected] for classes in offsite schools) to arrange a meeting.
8 There is nominated manager who has specific responsibility responsibility for coordinating young learner students’ wellbeing. This is Andrew McNeish, who can be contacted on [email protected]
9 If anybody at IH Madrid thinks that any young person person is being hurt (by anybody inside or outside the school) we will act upon this information and follow the correct legal procedure.
