If you need a student visa to study with IH Madrid, you first need to consult with the Spanish consulate in your country, preferably 120 days before coming to study with us.
These are the requirements for you to get an invitation letter from us:
*Booking an Intensive course of 20, 25 or 30 hours per week
*Payment of the entire course and accommodation (optional) by bank transfer and proof of payment.
*Photocopy of passport
The school will send confirmation of the course as well as a signed and sealed invitation letter to be submitted to the consulate or embassy by email.
If your request is rejected, we will need the document that denies your student visa. With this, IH Madrid will refund the full amount of the course, minus 250 euros for administration costs.

Here you can study, consult books, borrow books and films to practice your Spanish, and also use the computers and the printer with no extra charge.
Cafeteria: Open from 9.00 to 20.00.

Your first day
We will be waiting for you at 8.30 to take a level test. If you have taken it online or we have sent it to you and corrected it, you only have to do the oral part of the exam.
If you are a beginner, you must arrive at 9.00 am.
At the reception area, you will be given a welcome pack with class material, as well as your course book, which is included in the price.
Before going up to your class, the Head of Studies will give a tour of the school. She will give all new students information about the facilities and tell you about the social program planned for that week.
Your class starts at 9.30 am!
Every week, International House organizes a different social program, which consists of cultural and leisure activities.
Cultural activities: Visits to Prado Museum, Reina Sofía Museum, Telecommunications Palace, Royal Palace, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, etc.
Leisure activities: bowling, an escape room, beer and tapas, a flamenco show, a walk in Madrid's parks, etc.
Weekend excursions: visits to Toledo, Segovia, Ávila, etc
Special classes: flamenco classes, cooking international meals, language exchanges, cinema, and our conversation club.
